DSA1 Showcase 2018 at Lighthouse, Poole

The Dorset School of Acting is proud to be able to present their first Showcase with their 1 year diploma students at the Sherling Studio, Lighthouse. It is a collection of duologues, choral songs, musical theatre, contemporary dance and scenes from both the past and the present that students have been working on since February 2018. This performance celebrates some of the work and skills the students have developed over the last nine months on their 1 year diploma in Acting & Musical Theatre. It’s an excellent opportunity to witness the diverse range of performance training offered at The Dorset School of Acting and to observe the type of work that comes from a vocational drama school. The evening promises to be entertaining, funny and thought-provoking. This is a great opportunity for all involved and we’re also pleased to say that all profits from this event will be donated to Lighthouse 40.

£6420 + £250 Theatre visits. £35 audition fee. There are two ways to pay for this course.  Paying the full amount 4 weeks before commencement entitles you to a £500 discount from the yearly fee bringing the total to £5920.  You can also pay in 3 instalments. The theatre visit fees of £250 are to cover the cost of several theatre visits both locally and in London. This money is non-refundable, negotiable, exchangeable or transferable. There is currently no government funding for any one year course.

We totally appreciate how challenging it is to fund courses of this nature and as such we are always striving to help students by offering limited bursaries of up to 15%  to exceptional students.  In order to qualify for these bursaries students are required to demonstrate that they have attempted to raise the funds by other means initially such as private grants, initiatives etc.
