2 Year part time RSL in Acting (level 2 certificate in creative & performing arts) ages 13 yrs+

Overview

Are you unable to study GCSE drama at school as it’s not available?  Do you want to take GCSE drama but have too many choices and not enough options?  Is your school limiting the number of arts GCSEs you can take?  Is GCSE drama too written and not practical enough?  Or are you in year 9 and want to get ahead of the game?

Our RSL in Acting qualification is a 2 hour a week class at Lighthouse, Poole, after school over 2 years (72 weeks) allowing students the chance to gain the equivalent to one GGSE.  Time spent outside these 2 hours a week will be minimal so as not to effect or add to school workload.  So whether this could be in addition to GCSEs taken at school or in place of one GCSE, allowing a student to lessen the stress at school or a qualification gained even before GCSEs are taken, this course allows students the freedom to gain a practical qualification with no written exams, alongside the more compulsory, academic choices at school.

This Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) qualification equips learners with industry-relevant skills that prepares them for the demands of the Creative Industries.

I have throughly enjoyed my time at the Dorset School Of Acting. The teachers are incredibly dedicated and lovely. The range of lessons that are on offer is amazing, I have done things here I never thought I’d have the chance to try. They cover everything to give you the best experience they can. I don’t know what I’d do without this course. Thank you so much for everything you have done.
