This year’s very much anticipated summer school is based on the well known and extremely popular musical “WICKED” which gained great success in movie form too in 2024. Misunderstood because of her green skin, a young woman named Elphaba forges an unlikely but profound friendship with Glinda, a student with an unflinching desire for popularity. Following an encounter with the Wizard of Oz, their relationship soon reaches a crossroad as their lives begin to take very different paths with main themes focusing on friendship and trust.
We will be looking at these themes and the musical’s songs to inspire a performance including singing, dancing and acting that family and friends will be able to come along and see at the end of the week. Performance time tbc but will be sometime between 2-3pm on Saturday 2nd August 2025.
