The Dorset School of Acting is a national drama school.  It offers two full time courses for those wishing to pursue a serious career as a professional performer.  Both courses are based on using our unique and highly successful approach to acting, “The Process” and gives students the tools to be brilliant performers.

Our courses nurture students through the transformational journey of becoming an exceptional performer.  You will be pushed past your potential and gain the tools to help you conquer the arduous and challenging world of theatre, television and film.

These courses are vocational and also offer nationally recognised qualifications from Trinity College London.

To be part of the Dorset School of acting is to become the next generation of fearless actors and performers.

Dorset School of Acting has consistently produced students of a high calibre who are excellently prepared for drama school. I have always been impressed by their skills and readiness for training.

The DSA Experience

The Dorset School of Acting is based at Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts, the largest arts centre outside of London and a working touring theatre venue.

During your time with us you will become the best you can be.  Aside from regular classes, you will benefit from learning ‘The Process”, the school’s unique approach to truthful acting.  The school has regular contact with a great number of current industry professionals working within theatre, TV and film and as such you will also experience a number of masterclasses run by working professionals, experienced practitioners and members of the industry from actors, such as our patron Rachel Tucker, and casting directors to West End producers.
