Open Days 2024

Overview

DSA offer parents and students the chance to come to Lighthouse to attend our two OPEN DAYS in the Autumn term.  Please see below for our latest dates and times in 2024. We ask you to arrive at the stated time in the main foyer through the main entrance; the day usually takes a couple of hours but you’re more than welcome to leave whenever you have to.  As we are unlike other schools, we’re unable to hold our open days outside school hours so students will need to arrange time off from their current school.

You will be able to come and meet our head of course, Joanne Denson-Stockdale along with some of our teachers and students, have a look at the facilities, peek in at some classes and ask questions about any of the courses or classes we run.  There is no need to book, just turn up at the Lighthouse main foyer (through the main entrance).

If you are unable to make either of our open days, please have a look at our Drama School for a Day event we hold every year on a Saturday.  Whilst this day is different to our open days, this event allows students to take part in classes and meet teachers and gives them a great opportunity to get a feel for the school.

Being on the course at DSA has prepared me thoroughly for the next level of training. My time here has been insightful, challenging and has pushed my boundaries to the limit which has strengthened my physical and mental attitude toward a career in acting. The teaching staff are knowledgeable, thorough and the specific attention you receive is personal and they create a safe environment to discover and explore. The wide range of experiences and opportunities that have been offered have has been a massive highlight. The things I have learnt at DSA will stay with me for the rest of my training and beyond and I can’t thank everyone enough.
