The Dorset School of Acting Performing Arts Youth Courses give children and young people the opportunity to discover their creativity, grow in confidence, and develop essential performance and life skills all in a fun, supportive and inspiring environment.
Through high-quality training in acting, dance and singing, students build confidence, self-esteem, teamwork and communication skills, while learning what it truly means to perform. As students progress, we gently introduce a more disciplined and professional approach to training, helping them grow not only as performers, but as focused, resilient and motivated young people.
Because we believe that every child matters, we take a personal, nurturing approach with both students and parents. Our aim is to help every child become the very best version of themselves on stage and beyond.
Our youth classes are proudly based at LIGHTHOUSE, Poole’s Centre for the Arts, and THE CORNERSTONE ACADEMY, offering easy access from Poole and Bournemouth. Training takes place in inspiring, professional arts venues that encourage creativity and ambition.
Students are taught by working industry professionals and highly experienced practitioners, gaining real insight into the world of performance while developing skills that will stay with them for life.
